We are excited to invite a dedicated and skilled Sign Language Interpreter Teacher to join our team for the remainder of the school year. This fully remote position offers the opportunity to provide vital instructional support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing. Key Responsibilities:

Provide sign language interpretation services during virtual classes, meetings, and other educational activities to ensure effective communication.
Collaborate with classroom teachers and educators to support the learning needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Adapt instructional materials and teaching strategies to accommodate the diverse needs of all students.
Assess student progress and deliver constructive feedback to students, parents, and relevant stakeholders.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and communication assignments.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, Sign Language Interpretation, or a related field.
Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter or an equivalent credential.
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with a solid understanding of deaf culture and communication methods.
Preferred experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing in an educational setting.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Comfort with using technology for remote instruction and communication.
